Privacy Policy for OmniPrism Studio.

1. Publisher and controller

OmniPrism Studio is published by Yousef Yamin, trading as YYamin. For privacy questions, Yousef Yamin is the controller for personal information handled directly by YYamin in connection with the application and support communications.

2. Local processing and AI features

When you import and process material, OmniPrism Studio may use local software and downloaded models for text extraction, OCR, audio transcription, embeddings, search, reranking, and query interpretation. These operations are intended to run on your computer. The application does not send your library or document content to a remote AI service as part of normal local processing.

Local AI use is not the same thing as third-party data processing. The local models may process the content you selected, but the content remains within the application’s local processing environment. AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate and should be checked against the original evidence.

3. Services that may receive network information

Although document processing is local, the following activities can involve third-party services:

• Microsoft Store or Apple App Store: purchase, licensing, entitlement, account, device, and payment-related processing is handled under the relevant Store’s terms and privacy policy. OmniPrism Studio does not receive or store your payment-card details.
• Model hosting: when you download a model, the hosting provider and delivery infrastructure may receive ordinary request metadata such as your IP address, user agent, and download details. Your document content is not included in a model download request.
• Website hosting: visiting this website may create ordinary server, security, and delivery logs controlled by the hosting provider.
• Support email: if you contact us, your message and any attachments are processed by the email providers involved in delivery and by YYamin for support and correspondence.

OmniPrism Studio currently does not use product analytics, advertising trackers, automatic crash reporting, or routine telemetry in production. This may change only with an updated notice.

4. Purposes, legal bases, and retention

For information handled directly by YYamin, the purposes and general legal bases are:

• Support and privacy requests: we use the information you send to respond to your request, investigate the issue, and provide support. Depending on the context, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before or in connection with a contract, or our legitimate interest in operating support and protecting the application.
• Legal and security records: limited records may be retained where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
• Local application data: documents, search sessions, indexes, downloaded models, and exports are stored locally for the product features you request. YYamin does not receive or retain that library content through the normal application workflow.

YYamin keeps support correspondence and related records only for as long as reasonably necessary for the request, ongoing support, security, legal, or accounting purpose involved, after which they are deleted or anonymised where practical. Microsoft, Apple, model-hosting, website-hosting, and email providers determine their own retention periods under their applicable policies.

5. Information you choose to share

You decide whether to send support messages, diagnostic logs, exports, backups, screenshots, or other material. Operational logs are intended to be content-free, but review anything before sending it. Do not send documents or personal information that is not necessary to resolve your request.

OmniPrism Studio does not automatically upload your library, search queries, source documents, or AI prompts to YYamin.

6. Local storage, retention, and security

Your imported library, indexes, accepted revisions, downloaded models, and exports are stored on your device in locations controlled by your operating system and your account. You are responsible for device security and backups.

You can delete local data using the application’s controls or your operating system’s file-management tools. Deleting application data removes it from the application’s active storage and indexes; it does not guarantee that physical storage, backups, snapshots, or filesystem journals are irrecoverably erased.

7. Questions and privacy rights

For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection concerning personal information handled by YYamin. Store, hosting, and email providers may handle information under their own policies and procedures.

You may also lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL, after contacting us or where you consider that your data-protection rights have not been respected.

We may update this policy when the product, services, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when a material revision is published.
